Subnautica 2 Early Access Question

A player asks if Subnautica 2 Early Access is worth playing now or if it risks ruining the final release experience, comparing it to their burnout with Palworld.

Subnautica 2 early access question

I’m really tempted to get Subnautica 2 in Early Access next week, but I’m super confused and wanted opinions from people who’ve played Subnautica Early Access before.

I’ve never actually played the previous games myself, but I’ve watched many gameplays and honestly it’s one of my favorite game series to watch. I already know I’ll probably love it.

My main concern is Early Access itself. I’ve never experienced a Subnautica game that way, so I don’t know what it’s usually like. Is the story incomplete? Are major areas/features missing? Does it feel satisfying to play, or does it feel more like testing an unfinished game?

For comparison, I played Palworld in Early Access and had an amazing time probably the most fun I had, around 70 hours. But because I played so much early on, I kind of feel like I already got most of the experience out of it, and now I can’t really get back into it anymore.

That’s what I’m worried about with Subnautica 2. I’m scared that if I play Early Access, I won't feel like going back to it maybe?

So for people who played the older Subnautica games in Early Access:

Did it make the final release better, or did it kind of ruin it for them cuz they basically already knew everything I'm guessing?
