The Degasi was a Mongolian ship owned by the Torgal Corporation that crashed on Planet 4546B a decade before the events of Subnautica. Its crew, consisting of Paul Torgal, his son Bart, and mercenary Marguerit Maida, left behind seabases and data logs that reveal their struggle against the Kharaa Bacterium.

Bart Torgal was the young heir to Torgal Corp and a survivor of the Degasi crash on Planet 4546B. He attempted to cure the Kharaa bacterium alongside Marguerit Maida before succumbing to the infection on the Floating Island.
