But not the integrity of societal power structures.+> ― PDA.+ +The **Control Room** is an exterior Seabase Module exclusive to *Subnautica: Below Zero*. It allows the player to name and color their Seabase, as well as managing power distribution and monitoring hull integrity.+ +## Test Phase+The Control Room was envisioned and tested in 4546B's Sector Zero. The test versions were set up by the Frost Pack's Weld Team and Electrical departments. The project went through a number of accidents before reaching the current usable constructible version built by Robin:+ +* **v1**: Even when placed on flat ground, it ended up rolling to the bottom of the ocean and rapidly imploded.+* **v5.7**: Suffered an electrical fire with test personnel still inside, resulting in fatalities.+* **Final Test Version**: Suffered rapid depressurization after a poorly welded panel blew a hole into its wall [[1]].+ +## Uses+The Control Room features several displays and interactive components:+ +1. **Wall Display**: Shows the current time of day, the base's name, total Hull Integrity, and general base power details. This includes current power reserves as a percentage of maximum storage, generation (green), and consumption (red).+2. **Interactive Display**: Located on the opposite wall, this uses the same interface as a Vehicle Upgrade Console. It allows the player to name their base and choose exterior colors using a color picker.+3. **Holographic Console**: Located in the center, this shows a holographic layout of the base (rooms, corridors, and Foundations). Base parts default to blue, except the Control Room which is yellow. Players can adjust the map position using a joystick; movement keys shift the view horizontally, while swim up/down shifts it vertically.+ * Hovering over a part shows its name, power generation/consumption, and contribution to structural integrity.+ * Clicking a room toggles its power supply on/off. Switched-off rooms turn red. This helps manage power shortages or save fuel in Bioreactors/Nuclear Reactors by turning off non-essential rooms before leaving.+ * Turning off power also disables internal lighting but does not deactivate Floodlights. The Control Room cannot deactivate itself.+4. **Leak Detection**: Displays locations where water is leaking due to low Hull Integrity or collision damage.+5. **Beacon**: Automatically adds a beacon for the base with the chosen name appended.+ +## Recipe+The blueprint is acquired from one of three Data Boxes located at:+* Omega Lab+* Outpost Zero+* Purple Vents (in a small field of Alterra debris)+ +Once acquired, the Control Room can be constructed using the Habitat Builder.+ +![Item Arrow](https://wiki.subnautica.com/sn/images/thumb/Item_Arrow.png/20px-Item_Arrow.png?5469b)+ +* x4 Titanium+* x1 Advanced Wiring Kit+* x1 Glass+ +## Databank Entry+ +![Control Room Ency](https://wiki.subnautica.com/sn/images/thumb/Control_Room_Ency.png/650px-Control_Room_Ency.png?c710c)+ +**Control Room**+ +The control room is an essential part of outpost engineering, created in response to environments with limited energy generation options.+ +* Centrally located 3D console provides an overview of current base layout+* Interactive projection toggles power in individual rooms for finite energy control+* Detailed wall-mounted display audits and discloses hull stability and energy consumption+* Customizing station controls identifying base details including name and exterior colors+* Atomic clock reports pin-point accurate local time+ +Source: Unlock the Control Room+ +## Gallery+ +![The outside of the control room](https://wiki.subnautica.com/sn/images/thumb/20190614093254_1.jpg/120px-20190614093254_1.jpg?0d8e3)+The outside of the control room+ +![Control Room Interior](https://wiki.subnautica.com/sn/images/thumb/SubnauticaBZ_ControlRoomInterior1.jpg/120px-SubnauticaBZ_ControlRoomInterior1.jpg?2e5a2)+Control Room Interior+ +![Control Room Interior (2)](https://wiki.subnautica.com/sn/images/thumb/SubnauticaBZ_ControlRoomInterior2.jpg/120px-SubnauticaBZ_ControlRoomInterior2.jpg?7246d)+Later more complete footage of the control room+ +### Holographic base display showcase+ +**Developer Andreas Urwalek** showcasing base color customisation and base naming.+ +## Trivia+* The central console was originally part of the Scanner Room in the Early Access builds of *Subnautica*.+ +[[1]] Reference to test phase accident logs.
