The Crystal Caves Cache is an Architect Base located within the Crystal Caves' Crystal Castle. Here, the organs for constructing a new Architect vessel can be scanned.
The cache can only be accessed if the player approaches it with Al-An inside their head. Otherwise, a forcefield will block entry. In addition to the forcefield, the inside is also guarded and maintained by Alien Robots.
Description
The Crystal Caves Cache is positioned within a cave studded with Large Morganite Formations. The area encompasses a large tunnel in addition to the base itself. The aforementioned tunnel distances the central section of the cache from its entrance. The cache's central structure consists of a facade connected to a long, dead-end corridor. The corridor is supported by triangular arches and is symmetrical in design. At the end of the corridor is a hexagonal light fixture. On either side of the corridor are four recesses housing transport containers. While most of these containers are closed and inaccessible, one container has been removed from its place and propped up against the left side of the corridor. With the container left open, its contents—Architect organs kept in perfect stasis—can be scanned for their blueprints.

Trivia
Initially, there was a Precursor Power Source Fragment in the Crystal Caves Cache. This was replaced by the Architect organs in the final version.
