The Deep Purple Vents is a cavernous extension of the Purple Vents. Unlike its shallower counterpart, the Deep Purple Vents is entirely devoid of aggressive fauna. Players should still be wary though, as swimming within the blast radius of the biome's characteristic Fumaroles can be hazardous. Entering the Deep Purple Vents can also be tricky, as Squidsharks, Cryptosuchuses, and even Chelicerates can end up wandering near the entrances.

An easy way to find the Deep Purple Vents is to look for the Mercury II's detached thruster, which rests atop the chasm entrance. The secondary entrance can be found nearby on the border of the Lilypad Islands. The biome itself serves as a possible entrance to the Crystal Caves, but a Shadow Leviathan will sometimes be lurking on the other side.

While the Deep Purple Vents sports little flora and even less fauna, the region is still rich in resources. Gel Sacks, Uraninite Crystals, and Spiral Plant Clippings are among some of the rarer materials found here. Additionally, a lone Ion Cube can be found near a small Architect installation where a Fossil Excavator has been set up.
