It has a narrow, bullet-like body which ends in a point on one side and a beak protected by flaps on the other. Its eyes are yellow with black pupils.+The Bullethead is a medium-sized, cone-shaped, bright red organism loosely resembling Earth squid. +It has a conical shape, which from the lower to top portion consists of neon purple gill-like slits. At the bottom of this cone lie 4 limbs covered in dark-red wavy stripes, tipped in dark-red claws. They are arranged in a square shape and close together over a blue interior with a blue tube smoothly.+ +Above these limbs are 2 large, orange to yellow eyes that have a triangular pupil composed of lines that enlargens at the tips.+ +### In Game Gallery+ ![Side view of a Bullethead](Bullethead side.png)+*Side view of a Bullethead.*+ ![Front view of a Bullethead](Bullethead front.png)+*Front view of a Bullethead.*+ ![Top view of a Bullethead](Bullethead top.png)+*Top view of a Bullethead.*+ ![A Bullethead while asleep with it's eyes closed](Bullethead sleeping.png)+*A Bullethead while asleep with its eyes closed.* ## Behavior Bulletheads can be found attached to rock formations and cave walls when at rest. When the player approaches, they open their eyes and detach from the surface, before moving in rapid circles around the player. After a short period, they will barrel towards the player at high speed, dealing a small amount of damage. -Bulletheads often sleep on cliffsides, however shining a light on them will cause them to awaken immediately, and attack the player. This does not work with lights from the Tadpole.+Bulletheads often sleep on cliffsides; however, getting too close to one wakes them up, and they start launching themselves tip-forward to deal damage to the player. ## Databank Entry +![Bullethead](Bullethead.png)+ **Panopliateuthis velos**, the armored squid dart. A swarm predator that attacks by ramming and penetrating its prey. > "I saw their eyes first. Bright yellow eyes, down the inside of the lava tube. I killed the motors and the floods, signaled Iso and Mel to grab the handholds, and held my breath. For a minute I thought we'd ride clean through. Then the current pulled the Tadpole into an outcrop and at the sound they all just—went off. > > Like bottle rockets. Back and forth, up and down, everywhere. One of them lodged in the port hull just aft of the canopy and I saw, very clearly, that it was a squid, completely plated in armor. They hit you tail first, hard enough to punch into titanium. Incredible. Do you think they run on compressed air? Or do they burn something? > > The hull alarm went off — I tried to blink the floods to confuse them — but Mel and Iso's blackboxes were already crying. The noise seemed to attract them. Apparently they like to get stuck in wounded prey and wait until you bleed to death, then go to work on your carcass. So by the time I got back to Habitat there wasn't much left of Iso and Mel for Iso and Mel to recycle." >-> —Tsewangiin "Ruby" Anar, "When I Didn't Die"+> — Tsewangiin "Ruby" Anar, "When I Didn't Die" -*Source: [Scan](Scan) a [Bullethead](Bullethead)*+*Source: Scan a Bullethead*
