Initial creation of Fabricator article for Subnautica 2 wiki, including infobox data, crafting recipe, item lists, and databank entry.

 | Property | Details |-| :--- | :--- |+| --- | --- | | **Type** | Interior Facilities (Production) | | **Energy Consumption** | -2 energy/sec | | **Description** | Critical survival system. Atomically restructures raw resources into useful tools and consumables. | ![Fabricator](Fabricator.png) The **Fabricator** is an essential device found in the [[Lifepod]], and craftable in player-created Seabases with the [[Habitat Builder]]. The Fabricator found inside of the [[Lifepod]] is corrupted and unable to synthesize more advanced recipes. To access those recipes, a Fabricator must be constructed inside of a Seabase. ## Recipe The blueprint for the Fabricator is unlocked after obtaining the [[Habitat Builder]] blueprint. -| Ingredient | Amount |-| :--- | :--- |+| Ingredient | Quantity |+| --- | --- | | [[Titanium]] | 1 | | [[Copper]] | 1 | | [[Quartz]] | 1 | | **Result** | **1 Fabricator** | -*Crafted using: [[Habitat Builder]]*- -## Appearance- -*(Section requires expansion)*- ## Purpose The Fabricator serves as the Player's primary means of crafting items such as Tools and Sustenance. Resources for crafting are automatically drawn from the Player's inventory and Lockers inside of Seabases or the Lifepod. When placed inside a Seabase the fabricator requires 2 energy/s. ## Sections The Fabricator menu is grouped into four sections; Personal, Resources, Sustenance and Consumables, which contain the recipes listed below. ### Personal #### Equipment * [[Rebreather]] * [[Improved Fins]] * [[Basic Fins]] * [[Standard Air Tank]] * [[High Capacity Air Tank]] #### Tools * [[Survival Multitool]] * [[Flashlight]] * [[Air Bladder]] * [[Scanner]] * [[Habitat Builder]] * [[Wakemaker]] * [[Sonic Resonator]] * [[Repair Tool]] ### Resources #### Basic Materials * [[Salvaged Titanium]] * [[Glass]] * [[Fiber]] * [[Mild Acid]] * [[Rubber]] * [[Grease]] #### Advanced Materials * [[Enameled Glass]] * [[Fiber Mesh]] * [[Strong Acid]] #### Electronics * [[Basic Battery]] * [[Advanced Battery]] * [[Power Cell]] * [[Entangled Power Cell]] * [[Copper Wire]] * [[Wiring Kit]] * [[Advanced Wiring Kit]] * [[System Chip]] * [[Dedicated Core]] ### Sustenance #### Prepared Meals * [[Sugar of Saturn]] * [[Halfmoon Jerky]] * [[Threemoon Temaki]] * [[Hoverthorn Souvlaki]] * [[Cherimoya Chutney]] * [[Pavlova]] #### Cooked Food * [[Oily Salad]] * [[Cooked Halfmoon]] * [[Cooked Harvestmoon]] * [[Cooked Bluemoon]] * [[Cooked Quadrate]] * [[Cooked Geordie]] * [[Cooked Electric Geordie]] * [[Cooked Hoverthorn]] * [[Cooked Blackthorn]] * [[Cooked Pneuma]] * [[Nutrient Block]] * [[Coral Mash]] #### Water * [[Water]] * [[Isotonic Water]] ### Consumables * [[Basic First Aid Kit]] * [[Enhanced First Aid Kit]] * [[Distraction Flare]] ## Databank Entry > **Fabricator** > > Fabrication technology is the power to rearrange matter at the molecular level. It catalyzed the great expansion from Earth, and remains the backbone of the modern world. > > Fabricators use coherent control lasers, mechanosynthesis and nanotechnology to position and bond atoms according to a blueprint. Blueprints are managed by FRM (fabrication rights management) cryptography. In emergency situations, fabricators unlock appropriate survival gear. New blueprints can be scanned in the field and added to the fabricator's library. > > Despite their complexity, fabricators can be bootstrapped from simple feedstock like copper and titanium. Trace aluminum provides the sapphires for the fabricator's lasers. More specialized fabricators require more complex components. > > Fabricators have replaced craftspeople in most industrial societies, allowing tailors, toolmakers, sculptors, welders, cooks, and other artisans to retrain into AI-assisted blueprint design. > > Keep all body parts away from the fabricator while it operates. Despite common superstition, it is safe to think about the fabricator while it operates. > > *Source: Construct a Fabricator*
