It supports a small amount of **Arctic Kelp Forest** flora and a bloom of **Eye Jellies**.+ +## Description+ +The Glacial Connection is a deep cave system situated under the larger glacier found in the western section of the map. The cave is relatively compact, which can make navigation difficult for vehicles like the **Seatruck**, though it remains possible.+ +### Eastern Half+ +The eastern half of the biome begins as a large fissure below the glacier that gradually narrows towards the seabed. The terrain is rocky, with patches of flora such as seedless **Creepvine** and **Violet Beaus** dotting the seafloor. + +Illumination in this area is provided by **Radiant Sieve Corals** and numerous **Eye Jellies**. Many Eye Jelly eggs can be found midway through this section. Two narrow passages lead from here to the western half of the biome.+ +### Western Half+ +The western portion is lined with layers of fragmented blue ice and denser patches of seagrass. Notably, this area lacks Eye Jellies. Geological features such as **Hydrothermal Vents**, **Ice Bubbles**, and **Ore Veins** are present throughout. **Ribbon Plants** sparsely populate this zone.+ +Near the end of the tunnel leading toward the Glacial Basin, players will find a ruined **Architect** installation containing one **Ion Cube**. At the very end of the cave, the player emerges into a short stretch of water in the southern portion of the Glacial Basin.+ +## Resources and Lifeforms+ +### Harvestable Resources+* Copper Ore+* Creepvine Sample+* Galena Outcrop+* Ion Cube (from Architect Installation)+* Eye Jelly Egg+* Lead+* Limestone Outcrop+* Magnetite+* Ribbon Plant+* Silver Ore+* Titanium+ +### Flora+* Creepvine+* Hardy Cave Bush+* Radiant Sieve Coral+* Ribbon Plant+* Redwort+* Violet Beau+ +### Fauna+* Arctic Peeper+* Bladderfish+* Eye Jelly+ +## Gallery+ ++*Entrance into the Glacial Connection*+ ++*One of the paths leading deeper into the cave*+ ++*An opening into the cavernous areas of the biome*+ ++*A large tunnel within the biome*+ ++*A Hydrothermal Vent resting within a depression in the cave*+ ++*One of the biome's few Ore Veins*+ ++*A ruined Architect installation*+ +## Trivia+ +* The Glacial Connection was originally planned to be the home of the **Frozen Leviathan**.+* The biome originally held an earlier incarnation of the Frozen Leviathan before it was moved to the Glacial Basin.
