It is characterized by its murky yellow-orange water, caused by the abundance of sulfur and thermal vents in the region. Approaching these vents is ill-advised, as they will damage the player until they genetically adapt to the heat. At the eastern edge of the biome is a Cicada Wreck and the Tadpole Pens, where the terrain drops off into the Sparse Plains. The **Graveyard Caves** are a set of extremely hot caves directly below the Graveyard. Named after the high mortality rate of pioneers in the area, the caves are littered with pioneer Blackboxes. The main entrance to the caves can be found at the Tailings Village. Many Dead Coral Crabs can be found in the caves. ## Resources * Gold * Silver * Sulfur ### Graveyard Caves Resources * Copper * Gold * Silver * Lithium * Salt * Sulfur * Titanium ## Lifeforms * Halfmoon * Houndgar * Jelly Ring * Marrowbreach * Radiator Coral * Tallshroom ### Graveyard Caves Lifeforms * Halfmoon * Oxygen Tunic * Stagged Mephit (HiHat) * Water Slug ## Gallery ### In-Game ![Graveyard Caves](Graveyard Caves.png) *Graveyard Caves* -### Concept Art+### Development ![Early drafts of the Graveyard by Artyom O'Rielly](Graveyard_drafts_Artyom_O'Rielly.webp) *Early drafts of the Graveyard by Artyom O'Rielly.* ![A developmental prototype shared by Artyom O'Rielly](Graveyard developmental prototype.png) *A developmental prototype shared by Artyom O'Rielly.*
