+# Hydrothermal Spire+ ++ +**Hydrothermal Spires** are tall, conical geologic formations that emit heat. They are predominantly found throughout the **Thermal Spires** Biome but can also be located in various other biomes to a lesser degree.+ +## Appearance+ +Hydrothermal Spires are characterized by their tall, conical shape with a hole at the top. This opening constantly emits a black, smog-like substance, similar to real-life Black Smokers. Additionally, a yellow sap-like substance can be seen oozing from the top of each spire.+ +Colonies of **Tree Spires Purple Coral** and **Glowing Coral Shelves**, which typically grow on Tree Spires, can often be observed growing on Hydrothermal Spires near the border of the Tree Spires Biome, as well as in cave systems below said biome.+ +## Databank Entry+ ++ +> These chimney-shaped structures are formed from dissolved minerals pushed upwards through the planet’s crust.
