The Antidote is an injectable container of antibacterial agent that can be used to cure Kharaa. It was hidden by Sam Ayou in a Spy Pengling cave located in the Glacial Basin.

Usage
The antidote can be used to decontaminate the Frozen Leviathan. To use it:
- Load the antidote into the injection machine found near the creature's head.
- Use the nearby screen.
This action causes the pustules on the skin to dissipate, visually demonstrating that the bacterium has been killed. Although the leviathan is frozen and confirmed dead (lacking circulation), injecting a single pustule causes all others to disappear as well.
Quest Relevance
Injecting the antidote is not necessary to complete the main quest or finish the game. Al-An will leave the planet before the antidote is injected, despite stating his mission was to eliminate the bacteria. Additionally, even if Al-An has already left the protagonist's body, his voice will still be heard when the antidote is injected.
Recipe
The recipe for the Kharaa Antidote is unlocked automatically when the player picks up the item in the Spy Pengling cave. Only one dose is necessary; players only need to manufacture additional doses if the first one is misplaced or destroyed.
