Overview of the chamber where the Cuddlefish egg resides

The Mushroom Forest Caves are a small cave system characterized by life forms and coral structures typical of the Mushroom Forest. Two of the caves in this area are home to Cuddlefish eggs. Bioluminescent plants, such as Grue Clusters, guide players through the caves' many passages. An alien arch can be found here leading to the Primary Containment Facility, and a fungal sample is also located in this area.

The entrance to this cave system is embedded into a cliff facing the Bulb Zone, below the largest Tree Mushroom. These caves also connect to one of the Bulb Zone Caves.

This cave is particularly large and consists of long, winding tunnels that lead to and from a large central cave. The Cuddlefish egg can be found in a chamber close to the entrance. Exclusive to this cave are Coral Shell Plates, Large Lithium Deposits, and a single Brain Coral, located close to the transition to the Bulb Zone Caves.
