It has two large pectoral fins and a large dorsal fin with a smaller secondary dorsal fin behind it. The caudal fin is indented, with rounded tips. Transverse yellow stripes run down the body from head to the tail, each outlined by a pale blue band. The caudal fin is punctated by a pale yellow ring surrounding a yellow spot on both the upper and lower lobes. The eyes are small and grey, and situated on the lower jaw. The mouth is stout and lined by corneous dark-grey tissue which forms a pair of backward swept horns on both the upper and lower jaw. Eight teeth also grow from this tissue with four in each jaw. The body has visible muscle definition behind the head, which combined with the short mouth indicates powerful jaws. ## Behavior The Nibbler Mango is territorial and aggressive. It will spend most of its time patrolling its territory, usually alongside a group of other Nibblers. It will pursue both Players and Tadpoles if they get nearby, and will often pair up in twos or threes and circle the Player before diving in to attack. Nibblers will growl at the Player in anticipation of attack, which gives time to react. Occasionally the Nibbler Mango hunts for nearby small prey creatures such as Halfmoons as a food source. If the player is holding a lit Distraction Flare the Nibbler Mango will become passive and focus its attention on the flare whilst rolling in the water playfully. If the flare is thrown the Nibbler will proceed to chase it. ## Databank Entry +**Nibbler Mango**+ ![Nibbler Mango](Nibbler Mango.png) -**Nibbler mango** (tentatively *Mango tructa*). Made of calcium apatite, surfaced in tough vinyl, and loaded with batteries of spare teeth. New teeth push up through the core of old teeth, splitting them open. Likely painful.+ Enormous jaw crests (the upper rhinotheca and lower gnathoteca) crush rocks and dead coral before swallowing. Must maintain powerful jaw muscles and a massive digestive tract on a diet of slime, algae, and trash. Always looking for more to eat.+ Not a dedicated carnivore, but territorial and always hungry.
