-+ A **Protean Mass** is a mineralised organic mass with a humanoid shape. It is unknown how these masses are formed, but they may be related to deceased Pioneers. -## Appearance and Location- Protean Masses can be found in a variety of locations, including attached to Coral Domes and Thermal Vents in the Graveyard. Some Protean Masses are visibly distinct in coloration or structure from the terrain around them, whilst others may blend near-seamlessly into their surroundings, making them difficult to spot. A total of six different models exist for Protean Masses.
