Purple Cattail
Purple Cattail is a tall species of sea flora found in the Lilypad Islands and Lilypads Crevice.
Design
The species is heavily reminiscent of the flowering plants of the genus Typha. These plants are found in wetlands and have both broad flat leaves and flower clusters that closely resemble those seen on the Purple Cattail.

Purple cattails grow in small underwater clusters in particularly fertile regions along the seabed. Long, flat leaves allow the plant to efficiently absorb sunlight at depth.
Its striking coloration - caused by the pigment anthocyanin - is paired with high levels of poisonous phenols, which discourage herbivorous fish from grazing on them.
