These yield 1 Quartz. *   Resource Nodes that are broken by hand or using any Tool. These yield 3 Quartz. *   Resource Deposits that are broken with the Sonic Resonator. These yield 5 Quartz.   Quartz can be found in every biome except for the Karakorum Metal Farms.   ## Uses in Crafting   Quartz is used in various crafting recipes.   ## Databank Entry   **Quartz (SiO2)**   A silicate crystal named by the Polish. Quartz and feldspar make up most of Earth's continental crust.   Used in the creation of fabricator-aligned glass and ultra-long-term computer memory storage lasting billions of years.   Typically found as phenocrysts formed from cooling lava — but some local deposits have a telltale bioplastic matrix.
