It is practical primarily as a dim light source around Seabases.+ +They can typically be found in the Grassy Plateaus Caves and the Northern Blood Kelp Zone, often hidden away in alcoves and small grottos, as well as on Reefback Leviathans.+ +## Gameplay+ +By cutting the plant with the knife, the player can obtain Rouge Cradle Seeds. Up to 9 seeds can be collected per plant; each slash grants 1 seed, while the final eighth slash gives 2. The seeds can then be planted in an Exterior Growbed or an Alien Containment.+ +One seed takes 1100 seconds (18:20 minutes) to grow into a fully mature Rouge Cradle plant.+ +### Bioreactor Output+- **+70 Energy**+ +## Appearance+ +The Rouge Cradle consists of a glowing yellow bulb, enclosed by a dull-red cage. It has a small star-shaped blue base made of sixteen leaves that elevates it slightly off the ground.+ +## Data Bank Entry+ ++ +> A complex, cave-dwelling flora specimen. The bright yellow core of this plant is protected by a rigid cage, presumably to ward off medium-sized herbivores.+ +## Gallery+ +- + *A Rouge Cradle in the Northern Blood Kelp Zone*+- + *Day-time view*+- + *Night-time view*+- + *Bioluminescence*+- + *Size reference with the Player*+ +## Trivia+ +- The Rouge Cradle was originally called the Red Basket Plant.+- This species bears a striking resemblance to, and was possibly modeled after, the real-life cage fungus.+- "Rouge" means "Red" in French, an adjective fitting the color of the plant.+- Artificially grown Rouge Cradles don't give nearly as much Bioluminescence as their wild counterparts.
