Shiver Leviathan

One appears alongside its retinue of Shiver Males the moment any player enters the Void beyond the Early Access Barrier.   ## Appearance   The Shiver Leviathan is huge with an elongated body and laterally compressed tail, lacking a caudal fin but having a series of long, dangling tendrils along the underside. They have huge wing-like pectoral fins which are swept forward and unusually well developed, likened to those of a lobe-finned fish. The tips of the fins bear a curved spine whilst the rear edges are lined with straight spikes that point backwards.   The mouth appears beak-like with serrated front edges rows of small teeth within. Hard plating extends over the top of the head and continues backward in interlocking plates until they reach an extremely reduced dorsal fin, little more than a hump.   A bioluminescent organ is situated behind the lower jaw and is quite large. About halfway along the upper jaw are a pair of small black eyes, giving the appearance of empty eye-sockets.   Unusually, the Shiver Leviathan possesses a pair of jointed forelimbs with visible external segmentation. The second segment is pointed and toothed, reminiscent of the forelimbs of spearing mantis shrimp.   The Shivers are characterized by sexual dimorphism with the females being significantly larger than their male counterparts.   *   Female Shiver Leviathans are approximately **89m** long. *   Male Shiver Leviathans are **39m** long.   ## Behavior  -A Shiver Leviathan spawns as soon as a player enters the void.
