By slashing at the plant with a knife or a thermoblade, the player can obtain Violet Beau Seeds.+ +One seed takes 2x2 inventory slots and can be planted in an Exterior Growbed or an Alien Containment. It takes 1200 seconds (20 minutes) for a seed to grow into a mature Violet Beau.+ +Each plant has 150 HP and can therefore be cut 8 times in total, resulting in 9 seeds being collected. The last slash destroys the plant and yields 2 seeds instead of 1.+ +The Violet Beau has no use in crafting and serves only as decoration, although the seeds can be put into a bioreactor for 70 units of energy per seed.+ +## Appearance+ +The Violet Beau consists of a long, dark purple stalk from which long, slim, highly ornated leaves grow outwards. The leaves have a blue base and bright purple tips capable of emitting bioluminescent glows.+ +Violet Beau found in the Jellyshroom Cave and on the largest island of the Underwater Islands are much larger than those found elsewhere, suggesting these biomes harbour a unique subspecies.
