Bodyprinting is a revolutionary technology which enables organic bodies to be fabricated, even after death.
It works by saving and storing a "ghost" of a human individual. This ghost is basically a copy of the human mind and body.
The technology is heavily used by Alterran colonists on missions such as the Cicada where they are reprinted in the Biobed.
This technology is likely designed after Architect equivalents such as the Fabricator Base found on 4546B.

- Although the database entry "FAQ: Death and Recovery" states that the image can't be cloned, they proceed to reveal that you can be reprinted while still alive. This seems to indicate that information in the FAQ is misleading or downright false and meant to calm down anxious colonists. Most evidence in the game points the devices simply being programmed to not allow such a thing as duplicating colonists.
