The Day Night Cycle is a passive system that occurs in the background of Subnautica 2. It takes 20 minutes to complete a full cycle, with 15 minutes spent in the daytime, and 5 minutes for nighttime. In-universe, a Proteus day is 81 hours long, the same length as a Proteus month.
