Hatching Enzymes
Hatching Enzymes are an advanced material item necessary for hatching the Sea Emperor Babies. The blueprint is unlocked after the player has activated the Aquarium Arch.
After being crafted at a Fabricator, they must be inserted into the Incubator Device in order to hatch the Sea Emperor Babies. Only one enzyme is required to hatch all five eggs.
Description
An organic substance derived from plants found in the emperor's natural breeding grounds. Designed to trigger a hatching response.
Recipe
The ingredients for the Hatching Enzymes are easily gathered by reactivating and using the four Alien Arches in the Primary Containment Facility. The arches lead to:
- Lost River Ghost Forest: Ghost Weed Seed
- Crag Field: Eye Stalk Seed
- Mushroom Forest: Fungal Sample
- Bulb Zone: Bulb Bush Sample
Sea Crown can be found in the trenches of the Sea Emperor Leviathan's aquarium.

The emperor specimen's eggs are attached to some form of incubator. In a normal life cycle it seems likely that sea emperors would have buried their eggs in shallower waters, where different organic materials in the soil would have triggered a hatching response. The incubator suggests the aliens had resorted to developing artificial hatching enzymes which would simulate the eggs' natural hatching environment, but were unable to discover the formula.
With extensive information on the sea emperors themselves it may still be possible to fabricate an artificial hatching enzyme using indigenous ingredients, however the only surviving source of that information may be the sea emperor itself.

How to obtain: The player must communicate with the Sea Emperor Leviathan and hatch the Sea Emperor Infants in order to obtain Enzyme 42. The player must complete the entire healing cutscene in order to obtain the achievement.
