Medical Kit Fabricator
The Medical Kit Fabricator is an appliance that creates First Aid Kits. One unit is found pre-installed in Lifepod 5, but it can also be constructed by players using the Habitat Builder.
Uses
Every 10 minutes, the Medical Kit Fabricator will produce one First Aid Kit. Notably, it continues to function even when its parent habitat is unpowered or flooded, and it does not consume energy.
Note: While the in-game description states it takes 30 minutes to fabricate a medkit, it actually takes 10 real-life minutes (1% progress every 6 seconds). This discrepancy is likely an oversight from earlier game versions.
Recipe
The Medical Kit Fabricator is constructed using the Habitat Builder with the following materials:
| Material | Quantity |
|---|---|
| Computer Chip | 1 |
| Fiber Mesh | 1 |
| Silver Ore | 1 |
| Titanium | 1 |

Trivia
- When spawned via console command outside of Seabases, it will continue to produce First Aid Kits.
- The original icon for the Medical Kit Fabricator featured a white cross over a red background. This was changed due to legal issues regarding the use of the Red Cross symbol under the Geneva Conventions for the Protection of War Victims (established August 12, 1949), which restricts its use for commercial purposes or as anything other than the logo of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
