Lifepod

The Rosette V Digital Lifepod is a deployable emergency vessel aboard the Cicada and provides the starting point of the game where the player first spawns on Proteus after the initial starting sequence.

Unlike Lifepod 5 from Subnautica and the Drop Pod from Below Zero, the Lifepod will always spawn at the same location above a cave opening.

Appearance

The Lifepod resembles an octagonal pod with a single, large orange flotation device deployed from the bottom of the pod. At the front, a ladder leads up to an opened door which cannot be closed, unlike the Interior Door constructed inside of a Seabase. The back is outfitted with a square window. While the exterior of the Lifepod is completely clean, the interior shows notable signs of rust and damage.

Interior

The Lifepod contains the following interior:

An integrated Biobed

• Acts as a reprint location.
• Can be used to customize the player's chosen Qualified Investigator.

An integrated NoA Terminal

• Can be used to access the NoA interface.

A wall-mounted Storage Locker

• Provides a storage capacity of 35 slots.
• Contains 1 Basic First Aid Kit and 3 Nutrient Blocks.

A corrupted Fabricator

• This Fabricator is not fully functional and cannot synthesize all unlocked blueprints; for this, a new Fabricator must be constructed inside of a Seabase.

Trivia

• The Lifepod is launched from bay 73 during the starting sequence of the game.
