Admiral Rathine Studaber is a character originally mentioned in the official manual for Natural Selection 2, later in Voices from Beyond, and in the Subnautica 2 databank.
History
Admiral Rathine Studaber was previously the head of the revived British Secret Service, before she was selected by 37 transgovs to form and lead the Trans-System Federation with the purpose of enforcing The Charter. After repeated Charter violations by various transgovs, Studaber directed the TSF into a military police-like force, successfully keeping the various transgovs in line, and earning their ire in the process.
As mentioned in the Subnautica 2 databank entry TSF (Trans-System Federation), Studaber used the war against Kharaa in order to secure full independence of the TSF from its transgov sponsors. In Voices from Beyond, Studaber is heard declaring that the Ariadne Arm is now under martial law.
