The Stagged Mephit is an anchored lifeform. They can be found abundantly in the Graveyard Caves, usually planted in groups surrounding the Thermal Vent Clusters that can be found in the cave.
Appearance
The Stagged Mephit is a tall, columnar organism. Most of a fully grown individual's body is made up of a stack of roughly hourglass-shaped clams. From these extend intermittent fan-tissues upwards. On top of the Mephit is a large base from which grow antler-like appendages.

- The suffix “ceryneian” in the scientific name of the Stagged Mephit is taken from the Ancient Greek mythological Ceryneian Hind, a giant deer said to possess golden antlers.
