Vep Sensor

The Vep Sensor is an unimplemented Lifeform, and a type of Vep. Not much is currently known about it, though it does make an appearance in the Axum Observatory's holographic message alongside the Vep Worker, implying greater story significance in the future.

Appearance

The Vep Sensor has an unusual appearance, somewhat similar to the Vep Worker though lacking both the walking legs and tail fan. The chelate forelimbs are elongate, with an enlarged penultimate segment, terminating in a long recurved claw. The head is roughly teardrop shaped albeit broadened to the extent that it is almost circular when viewed head on. The compound eyes are large and ovoid in shape and the head bears a simple mouth. The anterior portion of the body segment just behind the head has a pair of openings, presumably used in propulsion.

Like the Vep Worker, the Vep Sensor is predominantly greyish and red, though it also bears a bright white band around the anterior margin of the head. The articular membrane is a greenish-grey color.
