The Fevered Pepper Tree is a terrestrial flora species that grows Fevered Peppers. It is commonly found in the icy regions of Aurora.
Appearance
The Fevered Pepper Tree consists of three vine-like branches that grow upwards from the floor. As they grow, they split and intertwine to form an upside-down bowl-shaped mesh supported by ice frozen to the structure. From the center of the bowl, several purple-pink Fevered Peppers hang down.
Use
Consumption
The Fevered Pepper can be eaten directly. It provides the following sustenance values:
- Water: +15
- Food: +15
- Heat: +34
As time progresses, these fruits will rot if not harvested promptly.
Cultivation
Fevered Pepper Trees can be grown in an Interior Growbed, Plant Pot, or an Exterior Growbed (out of water). The plant produces one Pepper every 5 minutes and is fully laden at 6 Peppers. This means an empty tree requires 30 minutes to bear maximum fruit.
A full harvest grants:
- Body Heat: 204
- Food: 90
- Water: 90
At this rate of growth, one tree can easily stave off starvation and just barely sustain hydration, though it may never fully win against dehydration alone.
