Lithium

Lithium is a raw material found in many Biomes. It can be found in single form both above and below water, as well as in shale outcrops. Lots of item form lithium can be found in the Deep Sparse Reef near Officer Keen's lifepod.

It can also be found as a large resource deposit, which are especially plentiful in the Lost River, Mountains, and the Mountain Island's caves. They can sometimes also be found in the Mushroom Forest.

Its main use is to create the high strength Lithium/Titanium alloy known as plasteel.

Description

Li. Applications in high-strength alloys.

Loose Items & Shale Outcrops

Lithium can be found in the following biomes:

Large Resource Deposits

Large Lithium Deposits drop 8-16 Lithium when mined. They are categorized under Large Resource Deposits.

Trivia

In real life, Lithium possesses a low hardness of 0.6 on Moh's scale, which would barely hold together, especially at great depths.

Lithium is also known to react violently with water, forming lithium hydroxide and highly flammable hydrogen that often ignited with the intense heat release.
