Pearl Flyer was an Axum individual who worked in the Great Jaw Farms alongside his elderly relative Pearl Taster, to whom he was known as Pearl Spawn. Their family had worked the farms alongside the Collector Leviathans for four-hundred and thirty-two years. Pearl Flyer was seemingly the partner of Deep Bride. Prior to Pearl Taster's death, Pearl Flyer was known as Pearl Spawn.

Biography

Pearl Flyer was a young Axum who lived on the Great Jaw Farms. After visiting the Najash-9 Launch Museum along with Deep Bride, the two of them became fascinated by supermarines, with Pearl Flyer going on to build one of his own which he flew over Xanadu against Pearl Taster's wishes.

As written by Pearl Taster, Pearl Flyer wished to reserve some pearls to offer as a dowry to a bride from deep waters who he believed would spawn tough larvae.

Despite his fascination with modern Axum technology, Pearl Flyer seemed to have a rather derisive view of the Xanadu refugees he encountered, describing their pleas for assistance to help their kin as "the madness of the city dweller". He later observed Pearl Taster killed by Collectors whilst the elderly Axum was attempting to save a group of Xanadu refugees, despite Pearl Flyer playing the harp to distract them. After this event Deep Bride retreated to deep waters whilst Pearl Flyer remained in the farms in order to prevent the Collectors from eating the Great Jaws, and changed his name from Pearl Spawn to Pearl Flyer.
