Redwort (Subnautica)

Redwort is a flora species found in numerous biomes, both shallow and deep. By cutting it with a knife or a thermoblade, the player can obtain Redwort Seeds.

| Bioreactor Energy | +70 per seed |
One seed takes 2x2 inventory slots and can be planted into an Exterior Growbed or an Alien Containment. Each plant has 150 HP and can therefore be slashed 8 times in total, granting 9 seeds. The last slash destroys the plant and gives two seeds instead of one.
This plant is purely decorative and has no crafting purpose, although its seeds can be used as fuel in the bioreactor for 70 units of energy per seed.
Appearance
Redwort consists of a cluster of long, dark red stalks growing out circular, red-orange leaves spotted with holes. The leaves' size gradually decrease towards the top.
Redwort emits a dull red bioluminescent glow during night time.
Within the Underwater Islands Biome, the largest island harbours abnormally large Redwort plants.
