The Furled Papyrus is a flora species mainly found in shallower biomes. By cutting the plant with a knife, the player can obtain Furled Papyrus Seeds.
The Furled Papyrus has 150 HP and can therefore be cut 8 times with a knife before being destroyed, yielding a total of 9 seeds. The last cut gives two seeds instead of one. They can be planted in an Exterior Growbed or an Alien Containment. It takes 1000 seconds (16:40 minutes) for a mature Furled Papyrus to grow from a seed.
The Furled Papyrus serves no purpose in crafting and is purely a decoration.
Appearance
The Furled Papyrus is a small plant composed of furled, shiny leaves sitting atop a purple flower-shaped base, with shades of red spiraling up the rolls.
Data Bank Entry
The function of the distinctive curled leaves on this aquatic plant is not immediately clear. It is possible the leaves unfurl in low-light conditions, or that they are designed to channel water currents through the main body of the plant, thus enhancing nutrient take-up.
