EMT (Electrometric Torque) Tool
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Insert battery. Aim at target. Activate to rotate target.
Do not use on self or others.
BACKGROUND
It is a telekinetic wrench.
Further background is provided only for those interested in the state of modern physics.
Devices like the EMT tool, propulsion/repulsion cannon, and grav trap exploit the field of applied gravitics. Like dark matter ion drives and phase gates, this field emerged from the study of non-local dark matter and the 'fuzz' of wormholes that occurs at the base scale of reality.
All gravity tools are based on a coupling chip, a room-temperature quantum system that exploits alternate interaction pathways between electromagnetism and space-time to create a gravitational force. Coupling systems are simple enough that at least three known alien biota have independently evolved telekinesis, albeit in extreme environments and, in one case, with possible external interference.
In the EMT tool, the only available degrees of freedom are rotational, turning the target left or right. Engineers value the EMT tool because of its superb grip. It can effectively transfer force to nearly any substance in any shape. Large industrial EMT installations anchor themselves in surrounding matter—when they turn a target left, every atom in their ballast turns incrementally to the right.
