Subnautica 2: Where To Find Conduit Crystal

Learn how to find Conduit Crystals in Subnautica 2. This guide covers the Alien Ruins location, required vehicles like the Tadpole, and essential crafting recipes.

As you dive deeper into Subnautica 2, you'll begin to uncover several new resources that you'll need to make more complex recipes and tool modifications. One of these materials is Conduit Crystals, which you'll need to build the Bioscanner that allows you to access new BioMods.

Unfortunately, the area where you'll find them is incredibly far from the lifepod, so you'll want to build a Tadpole before you'll be able to reach it, and you'll need to visit the Tadpole Pens to unlock the marker that will guide you out to that location.

Conduit Crystal Location

Unlike some of the other materials in the game that can be found in several locations across the map, Conduit Crystals will only really be found in one area. As mentioned, after you visit the Tadpole Pens and access the NoA companion Terminal there, you'll receive a new marker that leads to Alien Ruins.

This area will be across the large gap where the Collector Leviathan swims around, so it's recommended that you use your Tadpole to reach it, ideally with the Scout Ray Chassis attachment. Once you're in the area, you'll see several large alien-like buildings, including one that has a tower reaching up to the surface.

You'll want to keep going beyond the large alien tower until you reach an area where you'll see what almost looks like a large dome with various structures inside. Specifically, this location is about 1,780 meters directly east of the lifepod, and at a depth of about 300m.

Once you're under the dome, which has a large pole-like tower going up the middle of it, you'll see several cliff ledges inside with something that almost looks like shiny metal coral on it. These shiny materials are the Conduit Crystals.

At this point in Early Access, this dome is the main location where you'll be able to find Conduit Crystals, and you'll need the Sonic Resonator to collect them.

Conduit Crystals will respawn in this area, so you don't need to worry about farming all of them and running out. Additionally, you don't technically have to wait until the story sends you here to find the material, but you should at least wait until you have a Tadpole if you're not playing in Creative Mode.

Since this area is so far from your lifepod, and likely your other base, it's recommended that you try to build a base out here or bring a Tadpole Haul Chassis with you so you can stock up on materials before you return to base.
